Mitch Lewis was raised out in the country, near Midlothian, TX. He and his brother spent most of their time running around in the creeks and woods. ATVs, fishing and hunting were their favorite activities. Mitch attended Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill until the 8th grade and then high school at Duncanville High School. He went from a class of about 30 kids to over 1100 in his freshman class. It was a hard adjustment and it was even harder to live as a Christian. Mitch’s experiences and struggles at Duncanville are one of the main reasons he is committed to a Christian education for his children.
In 2008, the Lewis family felt the call from God to move to Granbury and home school their kids. Home schooling was hard, but they felt it was what God wanted for their family. They took each year one at a time and prayed and sought His direction for schooling. In 2015, they began feeling God leading them to Christian school, which brought them to Cornerstone. Mitch and Amy live in Granbury with their daughters, Berkley and Henley. Their son, Grayson, graduated from CCA and is now at UT Austin. They attend Stonewater Church in Granbury. They are so thankful for Cornerstone and all the opportunities it has provided for their family.
